Diamaguène-Sicap Mbao : Double coup de filet de la police contre le trafic de drogue
The Diamaguène-Sicap Mbao district police station, under the direction of Commissioner Cheikh Tidiane Diallo, arrested two suspected traffickers in the Diacksao district, following a well-conducted night-time operation, according to Seneweb sources.
A successful sting operation
The intervention began around 10:30 p.m., following information about Indian hemp trafficking at the Diacksao stop. Immediately alerted, the search brigade elements set up a surveillance system in the reported area.
After a few minutes of observation, the individual described by the informant was spotted holding a suspicious-looking crate. Immediately arrested, the police discovered 320 grams of carefully packaged Indian hemp.
First suspect: a car washer
The first suspect, identified as T. Sy, who claimed to be a car washer and lived in Diamaguène, was questioned about the origin of the drugs. Under pressure from investigators, he revealed that he had acquired the narcotics from a certain Mr. Fané.
The police immediately arranged for transport to the home of the man named Fané, located in the Ndiago district. Unfortunately, this search proved unsuccessful, as the wanted suspect presumably fled.
A second accidental arrest
On their way back, the search brigade members made an unexpected discovery. In an alleyway, they encountered B. Mdiaw, who introduced himself as a worker and lived in Diacksao. As soon as he saw the police, the individual attempted to flee before quickly taking refuge in a house.
This suspicious reaction immediately alerted the police, who arrested him. A body search revealed he was carrying 16 cones of Indian hemp. When confronted with the evidence, the suspect admitted to owning the drugs.
Referral to the Pikine-Guédiawaye court
The two alleged dealers were brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Thursday for trafficking and offering or transferring Indian hemp.
A strong signal against local trafficking
This double arrest demonstrates the vigilance and effectiveness of the police force at the Diamaguène-Sicap Mbao police station in the fight against drug trafficking. The operation, conducted with professionalism, sends a strong signal to other drug dealers operating in the area.
The dismantling of this local network helps to improve the safety of local populations, who are often victims of nuisances linked to drug trafficking in their neighborhoods.
