Drame à Mbacké : Un maçon se suicide dans la chambre de sa mère
In the night of Wednesday 8 to Thursday 9 April 2026, around 11:30 p.m., the urban police station of Mbacké, under the command of Commissioner Alioune Fall, was informed by telephone of the death by hanging of an individual in the Diamaguène district.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found that a man had hanged himself from the roof of a bedroom using a wire. The victim was identified as D. Diallo, 37, a bricklayer.
According to his father, the deceased worked in Mbour. Suffering from mental health issues for some time, he had been repatriated to the family home in Mbacké, where he was receiving treatment from a traditional healer, according to Seneweb sources.
At the time of the tragedy, the family members were in the courtyard of the house. D. Diallo had locked himself in his mother's room without their knowledge before carrying out the act.
Alerted, his relatives broke down the door and found him hanged. They cut him down before informing the police.
The body was taken by firefighters to the morgue at Matlaboul Fawzani Hospital in Touba. The public prosecutor's office has been notified and an investigation is underway.
