Drame à Potou : Deux jeunes de 22 ans périssent dans une collision fatale entre une moto et un "Waar Gaïndé"
A tragic road accident brought mourning to the commune of Potou, in the Louga region, yesterday, Sunday, around 6 p.m.
The head-on collision occurred on the Louga-Potou road, near the village of Keur Mbarick. It involved a Jakarta motorcycle and a public transport vehicle, commonly known as "Waar Gaïndé" (a Peugeot 406 with registration number AA-614-QG).
The two occupants of the motorcycle, Alassane Seck and Ibrahima Diallo, both aged 22 and living in the Serigne Louga district of Louga, were killed instantly.
According to initial information gathered at the scene, the excessive speed of the motorcycle was the cause of the violence of the collision, which proved fatal for the two young men.
The firefighters transferred the bodies of the victims to the morgue of the Amadou Sakhir Mbaye hospital in Louga, after the usual report was carried out by the Potou gendarmerie.
The driver of the "Waar Gaïndé" was immediately taken into police custody. An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
