A tragic and disturbing case has been rocking the city of Thiès since Tuesday. The severely decomposing body of a 25-year-old man was discovered, according to Seneweb sources. The investigation reveals a chilling story: the friend who was with him reportedly noticed his death before fleeing without alerting anyone, only to be the victim of a serious road accident.

On the evening of Saturday, October 18, 2025, Mr. Diouf, a 25-year-old man living in the Diakhao district of Thiès, entered the former Sones premises. These facilities, currently managed by Sen'Eau, are located opposite the Mka roundabout, on the road leading to the toll motorway.

A neighborhood investigation conducted by the police established that he was not alone. A friend had reportedly dropped him off at the scene that evening. The exact reasons for this nocturnal presence in a closed compound remain unclear.

Some time later, this friend returned to the site to retrieve Mr. Diouf. It was then that he made a horrifying discovery: his companion had already lost his life. The precise circumstances of his death remain to be determined by the ongoing investigation.

It was only on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, three days after the incident, that the Thiès central police station received an alert concerning the presence of a body within the Sen'Eau compound. In the meantime, Mr. Diouf's remains remained abandoned on site.

When the police arrived at the scene, the body was in a very advanced state of putrefaction, making the situation particularly difficult to manage from a health and forensic point of view.

Faced with the health emergency, several services were immediately mobilized to secure and sanitize the site. The fire brigade, the city's hygiene department, as well as technical teams from Sen'Eau and Senelec were dispatched to the site. Their mission: to take all necessary measures to avoid any health risks.
