Drame nocturne au Pont de Cambéréne : une moto percute le terre-plein, deux morts
A tragic traffic accident claimed the lives of two people on the night of Friday, November 29, 2025, near the Cambéréne bridge. The victims were riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets.
Alerted shortly after midnight, officers from the 15th district police station in Parcelles-Assainies immediately went to the scene of the accident. The police discovered the two lifeless bodies of the victims lying in a pool of blood on the road.
According to initial findings of the investigation, the two men were riding a motorcycle when, upon reaching the Cambéréne bridge, they violently struck the central reservation before tragically falling onto the road. The victims sustained serious and deep head and facial injuries, according to Seneweb sources.
The danger of not wearing a helmet
A crucial detail was noted by investigators: neither victim was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident. This lack of protection likely worsened the consequences of the fall and contributed to the fatal outcome of this tragedy.
The two victims have been identified as A. Mendy, born in 1984 in Soucouta, and RA Da Silva, born in 1991 in Guinea-Bissau.
The bodies were taken to the morgue by firefighters, at the request of the police.
The public prosecutor has been informed of this fatal accident. An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy and establish any potential liability.
This accident serves as yet another reminder of the vital importance of helmet use for drivers and passengers of two-wheeled vehicles, mandatory safety equipment that can save lives in the event of a fall or collision.
