DROGUE , SEXE ET PROSTITUTION : Le "Capo de Saly" et sa bande sénégalo-nigériane dans les filets de la BR
The Saly Research Brigade, under the Mbour Gendarmerie Company, has dismantled a hard drug trafficking and prostitution network involving Senegalese and Nigerians operating in nightclubs in the commune of Saly Portudal, according to exclusive information from Seneweb.
According to information received indicating intense hard drug trafficking in the commune of Saly Portudal, more specifically in certain nightclubs where a certain Mr. Diouf alias Momo, gang leader, and his accomplices were selling hard drugs like hotcakes, investigators from the Saly BR have set up a surveillance and tailing operation to catch them.
The arrest of the "Saly capo"
On January 26, 2026, around 5 a.m., while Mr. Diouf alias Momo was returning from the upper floor of a local nightclub on a Tmax brand motorcycle with a certain L. Dieng and a certain JTD Sagbamaoui of Nigerian origin, the gendarmes caught them near the Elton station.
After their arrest, investigators managed to apprehend SM Diop and M. Sarr, two of the potential clients of M. Diouf alias Momo who obtained crack cocaine daily from him.
Twenty crack balls worth ten thousand francs each were found in the pockets of Mr. Diouf alias Momo, nicknamed the "capo of Saly", who had long controlled the hard drug trade in Saly and surrounding areas.
Compromising discoveries
Condoms, a Nigerian passport and a vaccination booklet were found in the bag of JTD Sagbamaoui who claims to have met Mr. Diouf alias Momo and his friend L. Dieng upstairs where a compromise was reached between them for a session of bare legs accompanied by a good consumption of crack.
Search of the gang leader's home
At the clients' homes where they were supposed to go, the gendarmes also seized twenty-five grams of hashish, another variety of hard drug which Mr. Diouf alias Momo refuses to own and claims belongs to his friends and accomplices.
Shisha smoking areas were also seized at the home of Mr. Diouf alias Momo, which confirms intelligence that his house, a terrace nestled in a hard-to-reach and very sparsely frequented corner in Saly Joseph, was the headquarters of drug, prostitution and pimping actors in Saly, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
Arrest of the Nigerian supplier
Continuing their investigations and using their usual techniques, the investigators placed an order worth three hundred thousand francs with Momo's supplier, a certain GO Udo, of Nigerian origin, based in Gandigal.
The gendarmes managed to arrest him during the delivery behind the Diambar Institute in Saly where he had arranged to meet the undercover agent.
Fifty grams of crack cocaine were found in GO Udo's pockets after he abandoned his motorcycle on the spot and fled before being arrested after a few meters of pursuit.
In total, six people were arrested as part of this operation: Mr. Diouf alias Momo (gang leader), L. Dieng (accomplice), JTD Sagbamaoui (Nigerian prostitute), SM Diop and M. Sarr (consumers), as well as GO Udo (Nigerian supplier).
All these people were presented yesterday, Friday, to the prosecutor at the High Court of Mbour.
