[EXCLUSIF] Touba : la BR démantèle un réseau de présumés homosexuels, un porteur du VIH parmi les interpellés
The Research Brigade (BR) of the Touba Company, under the Thiès Gendarmerie Legion, has dismantled a network of suspected homosexuals. According to exclusive information obtained by Seneweb, investigators arrested five suspects on Thursday, February 12, between Touba and Mbacké, one of whom is HIV-positive.
According to Seneweb sources, condoms and lubricant were seized during searches carried out during the operation.
AD, 36, was the first suspect arrested in Touba. Further investigations led to the arrest of metalworker ML, tailor KN, and shopkeeper BD, all in Mbacké. A fifth suspected homosexual was also arrested by the gendarmerie's Criminal Investigation Brigade (BR) in the Holy City.
The suspects reportedly confessed to the crimes after their arrest. According to our sources, incriminating evidence was discovered.
The suspects were taken into custody for conspiracy, unnatural acts, endangering the lives of others (for intentional transmission of HIV) and other charges.
The public prosecutor at the High Court of Diourbel has been informed of the facts.
The investigation continues to search for other suspects who are on the run. More arrests are expected.
The National Gendarmerie, under the command of General Martin Faye, continues its relentless actions throughout the Senegalese territory to fight against delinquency and crime, with a view to ensuring the protection of people and their property.
