Fatick-Diourbel-Tambacounda : L'OCRTIS frappe simultanément, trois trafiquants arrêtés
The Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS) conducted several raids between December 24 and 26, 2025, in three regions of Senegal. These operations resulted in the seizure of 11 kilograms of cannabis, 50 ecstasy pills, and 200 Tramadol tablets, as well as the arrest of three traffickers, according to Seneweb sources.
Fatick: 11 kg of Indian hemp seized, suspect on the run
On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, officers from the Karang Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), on foot patrol in Thouth (Karang), seized 11 kilograms of cannabis. Despite a chase, the suspect managed to escape. The drugs were confiscated, and efforts are underway to apprehend the fugitive.
Diourbel: A Jakarta driver arrested with ecstasy
On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, officers from the Diourbel BRS (Specialized Brigade for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking), under the OCRTIS (Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking), arrested ANS, 19, a motorcycle taxi driver, in the Champs de Course neighborhood. The suspect was in possession of 50 ecstasy pills and 166 grams of marijuana. He was taken into custody for possession for the purpose of trafficking ecstasy and marijuana.
Tambacounda: Two Tramadol traffickers arrested in Kidira
On Friday, December 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM, officers from the Kidira Anti-Drug Unit, part of the Tambacounda Regional Security Brigade (BRS), arrested two individuals in possession of 200 Tramadol tablets intended for trafficking. The two men are CTC, 22, an electrician, and AK, 22, a mechanic, both residents of the Guinaw Rail neighborhood in Kidira.
This arrest follows a tip-off regarding suspected drug trafficking at a residence in the Guinaw Rail neighborhood of Kidira. Arriving at the location around 4:30 PM, investigators found the suspects there.
A security pat-down revealed seventeen tablets of ten tablets each (170 tablets) and thirty individual tablets representing the remaining cut tablets. An iPhone 13 mobile phone was found on the CTC.
After brief questioning, the two suspects admitted to owning the tablets and stated they had purchased them in Diboli, Mali, from a man named Vieux Père. The seized items were impounded and placed under seal. The suspects were taken into custody after being informed of their rights.
These simultaneous operations in three regions demonstrate the intensification of the fight against drug trafficking across the entire national territory by the OCRTIS and its regional branches.
