Fer à béton : Les lamineurs exigent l’arrêt des importations. "Nos usines suffoquent sous les stocks"
The national rebar industry is going through an unprecedented crisis. Gathered within the Union of Steel Manufacturers of Senegal (comprising SOMETA, Sosemat and Fabrimétal), industry players have launched an appeal to the authorities, denouncing an "extremely worrying" situation that threatens the future of thousands of workers and the country's industrial sovereignty.
During a press briefing, Pierre Diouf, spokesperson for the Union, described a "dangerous" accumulation of stockpiles in local factories. According to him, this crisis is due to three major factors: the massive influx of imported iron, considered unfair competition; the high cost of production (particularly linked to the price of electricity); and the paradox of the construction sector, which, although revived, is not absorbing national stockpiles.
Pierre Diouf insisted, "Senegal is self-sufficient in reinforcing steel. Our rolling mills have a production capacity that far exceeds national demand," he stated.
Thousands of jobs at risk beyond the factories
Beyond the economic figures, the delegates' testimonies reveal an impending social catastrophe. Makhtar Laye Diakhaté recalled the domino effect, explaining that "Many people earn their living in this sector, from cart drivers to restaurant owners. We have families to feed," he confided.
For his part, Pape Alioune Sarr emphasized the scale of the jobs at stake, stating: "We're talking about 3,000 positions, but it's much more than that. It's an entire chain of families that depend on this industry."
Limit, Control, and Tax
Faced with this crisis, the Union of Steelworkers of Senegal makes three major demands to the State: it urgently requests that imports of reinforcing steel be limited, that controls be strengthened on the national market and that dissuasive taxes be imposed on imported products, all in order to protect local employment and industrial sovereignty.

Hier nuit l espace situé entre les immeubles du rond point liberté 6 a été désencombre par la ville de Dakar mais il reste les deux garages clandos avec les clandos blancs qui viennent des régions et occupent la voie parallèle au corridors du BRT
Eh bien ces clandos doivent être déguerpis car ils sèment le bordel
Les chauffeurs et apprentis pissent dans la rue et sont entrain de transformer les allées jouxtant les villas résidentielles en toilettes publique
Encore chapeau au ministre de l intérieur qui ose s attaquer à ce fleau

Je suis une chaise en fer en fin de vie une fois rouillée je ss collecté puis fondu pour encore être du fer à béton.
Soyons sérieux produit meunoul djarrr djeugueum 2 fois chaise puis fer et vous êtes suppris quand les bâtiments tombent comme des châteaux de cartes lol
