Golf-Sud : Un ébéniste arrêté par la police avec 15 pierres de crack
Officers from the Golf-Sud district police station, led by Commissioner Mame Arona Ba, arrested an individual involved in the possession and trafficking of crack cocaine. The operation resulted in the seizure of 15 rocks of this hard drug.
According to Seneweb sources, it all started with an anonymous tip received by the police on the night of Saturday, March 7, around 5 a.m. The tip reported a cocaine trafficking operation taking place near the Golf-Sud pharmacy, run by an individual considered suspicious.
A team from the investigation unit was deployed to the location to verify the information. The police then conducted discreet surveillance for several hours to identify the suspected trafficker.
During the stakeout, officers spotted a man who appeared to be waiting for potential customers. A few minutes later, he was seen taking out a cup hidden in a concealed compartment next to a shop. The police arrested him. Fifteen crack rocks were found inside the cup, carefully wrapped in aluminum foil.
The suspect, identified by the initials AS, 26 years old, a cabinetmaker residing in Guédiawaye, was taken to the police station where he admitted to the charges against him.
As part of the procedure, a sample of the seized drug was taken for analysis at the national laboratory to confirm its nature.
The public prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye court, Saliou Dicko, has been informed of the case and an investigation is underway to clarify all aspects of this trafficking.
