Hamo Téfess : après les brochettes de chat, l’histoire du «dibi» de chien
An unusual incident shook the Hamo Téfess neighborhood last Sunday. Following the recent case of a cat meat kebab vendor, this time Nigerian nationals were caught red-handed preparing dog meat.
According to Libération's account, it all started with a suspicious smell that alerted some local youths. Tracing the source, they discovered the individuals grilling a dog meatball. Upon seeing the residents, most of those involved fled, but one of them, Mr. Agau, was apprehended at the scene.
Set upon by the crowd, the man narrowly escaped being lynched before being handed over to the police. A security guard by profession, the suspect quickly confessed. As reported by the newspaper, he admitted to having collected the carcass of a dog before inviting his fellow citizens to a makeshift feast. He was careful to specify, however, that the meat was intended for strictly personal consumption and not for resale.
