HLM : Un photographe de 58 ans arrêté pour outrage à agent et tentative de corruption
Photographer M.M. Sy was taken into custody at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, for contempt of court and attempted bribery. The incident occurred during a traffic stop at the Rail-bi housing project.
Living in Yarakh, he was arrested by members of the urban police force of the Biscuiterie-HLM district police station during a traffic stop which turned violent, according to Seneweb sources.
According to police officer MD, from the urban police force, as part of the implementation of precautionary measures to strengthen prevention and road safety, a checkpoint had been set up at the HLM Rail-bi. It was at this point that the accused was arrested, while he was riding a motorcycle without a helmet and without the documents required for driving the vehicle.
Instead of complying with the police's orders, Sy began to utter insults and insulting remarks against the police officer, according to the investigation report. He then approached the officer in an attempt to bribe him. But the officer remained stoic.
However, when he wanted to load the motorcycle into the intervention vehicle, Mr Sy grabbed the police officer with incredible violence.
It was in the meantime that the fifty-year-old was taken to the police station and placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation that had been opened.
