Homosexualité : comment une fausse rumeur a semé la terreur dans une maison
Contrary to the rumors circulating on social media, no suspected homosexuals were arrested in the Cité Fadia neighborhood on Saturday night. No material was seized either, according to investigations conducted by Seneweb. Here is the account!
It all began on Saturday evening, around 9 p.m. The Golf-Sud district police station, under the command of Commissioner Mame Arona Ba, received a telephone alert reporting that a group of young people had gathered in a house located in Cité Fadia, with the intention of flushing out a suspected homosexual named Pape Saliou, without further details.
Without delay, the police officers from the Research Brigade went to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a tense situation: a group of young people were agitated around the targeted home, clearly intending to break down the front door, under the pretext that a homosexual was staying there.
The police manage to disperse them, but the respite is short-lived: a few minutes later, the crowd returns, this time in greater numbers.
Upon entering the residence, investigators conducted the necessary inquiries. The result was conclusive: the person in question, whose identity has not yet been established, had left the premises two months prior.
The room in question has been occupied by a woman and her sister for several weeks, according to Seneweb sources close to the case. Faced with this reality, the crowd eventually turned back.
No arrests, no equipment seized
Contrary to the misinformation circulating on social media, this operation did not result in any arrests. Similarly, no materials traditionally used for committing unnatural acts (lubricants, condoms) were found or seized at the targeted residence.
Public Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has been informed of the facts. An investigation is now underway.
