Horreur à Tivaouane-Peulh: un batteur de tam-tam traité d'homosexuel puis tué, 4 suspects arrêtés
A bloody crime has shaken Tivaouane-Peulh since yesterday, Friday. Malick Ndiaye, a drummer, lost his life after being stabbed following an altercation sparked by homophobic insults directed at him.
It all started when a group of young people verbally attacked Malick Ndiaye in Wolof: "Yen teug kat sabar yi ay gor djiggën nguène (the drummers are homosexuals)".
Feeling deeply offended, the victim decided to retaliate by getting into a fight with his accusers. It was during this altercation that he was stabbed, according to Seneweb sources.
Urgently evacuated to the Tivaouane-Peulh health post, Malick Ndiaye did not survive his injuries and succumbed en route.
Alerted, the gendarmes from the local brigade of Tivaouane-Peulh immediately deployed to the Moulaye Dabakh district in search of the suspects.
After four hours of investigation, four young suspected perpetrators were arrested: E. Gomis, a 14-year-old student in 6th grade; I. Sow, a 15-year-old tiler; I. Ndiaye, a 13-year-old student; and A. Diouf, a 14-year-old student, according to Seneweb sources.
On the instructions of prosecutor Cheikh Diakhoumpa, head of the Rufisque prosecutor's office, the four suspects were taken into custody for assault and battery resulting in death. The investigation is ongoing.
