In my first conversation with President Sonko: he proudly told me, 'In Darou Mouhty, I have my little brother and friend: Papa Mamadou Seck.'” He continued: “This man paid a high price for his commitment, suffering nearly two years of unjust imprisonment, the victim of blind repression that went so far as to label him a “terrorist.” Today, he reaffirms his unwavering commitment to the project by giving his son the name Ousmane Sonko. A strong gesture, a living symbol of loyalty and conviction.” May Allah grant long life to our son Ousmane Sonko Seck, may He protect his parents and make him a patriot who will perpetuate, with even more strength and grandeur, the fight of his father and his illustrious namesake.
"Special Force" Case
We remember in 2022, precisely on June 18 following the information revealed from the Urban Security. Pape Ousmane Seck, Bouna Ba, Madické Diop, Abdoul Aziz Niang, François Mancabou, Babacar Ndao, Abdoulaye Ndiaye, Assane Dramé, Mor Guèye, Ibrahima Diédhiou and Abdoul Aziz Niang "intended to sow public disorder on June 17, the day of the banned demonstration of Yewwi Askan Wi (YAW) against the invalidation of the national list in the Legislative elections." The group was referred to the court three times before being detained in prison for conspiracy against state authority, acts likely to cause serious political unrest, criminal association to organize gangs by supplying them with weapons and ammunition, with the aim of attacking the police, possession and transportation of incendiary products and substances with the aim of compromising public security and illegal possession of firearms.
Treatment of a severe pathology
Sent to prison since June 29, 2022, by the investigating judge of the second office of the Dakar TGI, and incarcerated at the Rebeuss Detention Center under lock and key No. 512/22, Pape Mamadou Seck is going to commit an escape. The Association for the Support and Social Reintegration of Prisoners (ASRED) had drawn public attention: "The aforementioned prisoner suffers from a serious illness that requires daily and regular dialysis monitoring. This illness predates his incarceration and he was being monitored by his doctor," warned President Ibrahima Sall.
It was only after 15 days on the run that Pape Mamadou Seck was finally arrested. It was on Sunday, July 24, in Touba, specifically in Darou Karim, before being taken to Dakar under heavy escort. Until his release in March 2024 without trial. The investigation is not closed.

Since then, the case has not progressed. The so-called "Special Force" case has not revealed all its secrets. The same goes for the case of the death of François Mancabou, in which he was the key witness because he claimed to have collected confidences from his cellmate.
