Kaolack : À la 114e Ziarra de Léona Niassène, le ministre Yankhoba Diémé salue le rôle de régulateur social des guides religieux
The Minister of Land and Air Transport, Mr. Yankhoba Diémé, led a large delegation to the 114th annual pilgrimage (Ziarra) to Léona Niassène in Kaolack. The government official requested the Khalifa's prayers for a prosperous Senegal. He took this opportunity to reiterate the importance of our religious leaders and the fundamental role they play in the development, peacebuilding, and stability of Senegal. Previously, the Minister had emphasized the spiritual significance of Mame Khalifa, the founder of this Ziarra.
Speaking at the event, Serigne Babacar Niasse, spokesperson for the Khalif of Léona Niassène, called on the Senegalese government to provide assistance to rural communities facing a crisis in peanut sales. He argued that the state must support farmers, who represent a significant portion of the Senegalese population.
He also asked the government to help young people find work in order to combat illegal emigration, so that they can stay in Senegal and serve their nation.
