Kaolack : Portes ouvertes L’UN -CHK en tournée dans la localité

The national 3 Force N program of the Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University (UN-CHK) organized an open house in Kaolack on Tuesday, December 2nd. The objective was to present the national 3 Force N program, designed to offer young people aged 18 to 35 opportunities in digital professions.

In her speech, Ms. Dior Fall Samb, Marketing and Communication Manager of the 3 Force N program, stated: “Today, we are in Kaolack with the Force N program, which offers skills development training for employment and entrepreneurship in the digital sector. This program is run by the Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation.”

Middle and high school students are also targeted by these open house operations which cover all regions of Senegal.

This tour started in the Saint-Louis region and continued in Kolda and Mbour.

The Kaolack region hosted the UN-CHK outreach mission. The organizers explained that the region was chosen due to its strong potential for innovation: "Before implementing the certificates, we will listen to the needs of the professional community. It is on this basis that we propose certificates. We have a catalog of 35 certificates divided into 5 professional categories," she said.

The Force N program will support entrepreneurs in acquiring digital entrepreneurship skills. This skills upgrade could facilitate their socio-professional integration or help them develop their startup.

The program supports 50% of the remuneration over 6 months. Another component of the program concerns students in the 3rd and final years of high school for the promotion of scientific culture.

This is a platform we make available to them because parents don't always have the means to enroll their children in private tutoring. Therefore, the platform allows them to review mathematics, physics-chemistry, and life and earth sciences (SVT) courses for free, and also, in the case of these cohorts, students in S1 and S3. These students also receive laptops to allow them access to all things science and technology.

Ms. Rokhaya Niass, coordinator of the local economic office (BEL) of the municipality, welcomed the initiative, indicating that Mayor Serigne Mboup anticipated this with the establishment of the local economic office (BEL).
