Around thirty service stations in Kaolack have been shut down for failing to comply with the new fuel prices. Those responsible are expected to appear in court this Monday, according to the head of the regional trade department, who is urging businesses to strictly adhere to the measures and is also encouraging consumers to report violations to ensure the effective implementation of the new prices.
Adama Mouhamed Mbaye, head of the regional trade service in Kaolack, explained that the Senegalese government has taken a series of measures aimed at improving the living conditions of the population. In this context, a decree was issued by the Ministers of Trade and Energy to reduce fuel prices. The Kaolack regional trade service conducted an inspection operation today throughout the region. This operation led to the identification of approximately thirty service stations that were not complying with the new measure. The fuel price reduction took effect on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Dafa am ay senegalais you yebate.
