A gruesome discovery was made late Sunday afternoon on Kayar beach. The local police were alerted around 6 p.m. to the presence of a lifeless body lying on the shore.
According to Seneweb sources, the deceased was a man in his thirties, wearing a t-shirt. However, formal identification is proving difficult due to the advanced state of decomposition.
Faced with this situation and after observation, the public prosecutor at the High Court of Thiès was immediately informed by the gendarmes.
The chief prosecutor gave instructions to proceed with the burial of the body on site, given its advanced state of decomposition.
