Kédougou : Démantèlement d’un site d’orpaillage clandestin à Sambrambougou
A major security operation carried out this Friday by the Khossanto Territorial Brigade, supported by the Salémata Surveillance and Intervention Squadron, led to the complete dismantling of an illegal gold mining site in the village of Sambrambougou.
This intervention is part of a larger operation launched by the Kédougou Gendarmerie Legion since August 3, 2025, aimed at combating illegal gold mining in the region. The targeted site, known as "New Djoura," was a hotspot for illegal gold miners.
