Keur Massar : le marabout, le commerçant et les « bains mystiques » à 300 millions F CFA
In Keur Massar, a fake marabout named Touba Diop, alias Serigne Khadim (44 years old), was arrested for a scam involving 300 million CFA francs, according to Libération.
According to the newspaper, the victim, B. Diop, heir to a second-hand clothing store in Colobane, claims to have been manipulated between 2021 and 2025 by the alleged marabout, who offered him "mystical baths" supposed to protect and make his business prosper.
Under his influence, the same source claims, the trader regularly paid him sums ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 CFA francs. Investigators were able to trace 132.7 million in money transfers, with the total loss estimated at nearly 300 million.
When questioned by investigators, Serigne Khadim admitted to receiving the funds, but said he did not know the exact amount. He said he used them, among other things, to feed his "numerous talibés."

- Les activités de transfert d'argent ont eu leur part.
- Il a eu des bains frais, meme si un peu chers ( attention! une piscine c'aurait ete chere, avec l'entretien tout ça)
- Les policiers ont eu leur travail.
