Kolda : les habitants de Dialambéré exigent le bitumage de leur tronçon de 2 km
Located just two kilometers from National Road 6 (RN6), the village of Dialambéré, the capital of a rural commune in the Kolda department, is suffering from the deplorable state of its laterite connecting section. Bumpy, littered with potholes, holes, and mud, this 2-km journey forces travelers to spend an hour reaching the other end. During this rainy season, the waters have further damaged the roadway, making the route impassable.
Faced with this situation, the people of Dialambéré took advantage of a football final between ASC Jam Jam of Médina Koundié and ASC Avenir of Dialambéré to challenge the authorities. During this event, they called for the paving of the 2 km road to facilitate access to the village. Other concerns raised included school dropouts, recurring borehole breakdowns, and a shortage of medicines at the health center.
Younouss Koîta, tournament sponsor and political leader of Mame Boye Diao's AARIS party, urged young people to get involved in state initiatives for the region's development. Through sport, he mobilizes people to support the new authorities in their fight against illegal immigration.
Dialambéré, a large village with five large neighborhoods, two mosques, and a large mosque led by Imam Thierno Ahmadou Koîta, is home to five middle schools and 14 elementary schools. To reduce the dropout rate, residents are calling for the construction of a high school in the commune.
