AL Diop, prosecuted for illegal collection of personal data, defamation, and blackmail, will learn his fate this Tuesday, May 5, the date of the verdict. According to L'Observateur, the events date back to December 2025 in the peaceful village of Thiandéne, in the commune of Ndiaganiao. A driver by profession, he fell in love with the young M. Sène, a high school senior, but was met with her categorical refusal.

The investigation reveals persistent harassment. "On the phone, the driver invited her to meet him at a house in the village. His objective, he clearly stated, was to have sex with her." When she refused, he turned to cybercrime. "Lacking any real compromising images, he created realistic pornographic montages using the victim's face superimposed on other people's bodies," reports the newspaper of the Future Media Group.

The accused then widely disseminated this content. "The victim's parents, classmates, and relatives all received these videos, making the young girl the laughingstock of the village," the same source stated. After mediation failed, the family filed a complaint with the Ndiaganiao gendarmerie on April 7th.

In the dock at the Mbour High Court, AL Diop denied the charges, adopting a defense deemed implausible. Confronted with her explicit calls and messages, he nevertheless claimed he was only trying to "encourage her in her studies," a version that convinced neither the plaintiff, who emphasized the trauma suffered by the high school student just months before her baccalaureate exams, nor the prosecution. Given the seriousness of this online harassment, the prosecutor requested the strict application of the penal code. Pending the verdict, AL Diop was remanded in custody at the Mbour prison, the Gfm news report concludes.
