« La Main Courante » : La Police Nationale Lance sa Première Revue Semestrielle
The Senegalese National Police has taken a significant step in its communication strategy with the official launch of its biannual information magazine, "La Main Courante" (The Incident Log). The ceremony for the distribution of the first copies took place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the headquarters of the National Police Directorate General.
Inspector General of Police Mame Seydou Ndour, Director General of the National Police (DGPN), personally received the first issues of this publication from Police Commissioner Mamadou Diouf, head of the Communication and Public Relations Division. This symbolic moment marks the realization of an ambitious project aimed at improving communication between the police force and citizens.
During the ceremony, the Director General of the National Police (DGPN) praised the professionalism of the Communications Division team. He particularly highlighted the remarkable quality of their work and the successful completion of this large-scale project. This recognition demonstrates the importance the police hierarchy places on institutional communication.
Beyond the congratulations, the Inspector General of Police also made important recommendations for the future of the publication. He urged the Communications Division to maintain the same level of commitment and rigor over time, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the long-term viability of "La Main Courante".
For the DGPN, this semi-annual review represents much more than a simple information bulletin: it constitutes a true showcase of the police institution, allowing it to promote its actions, strengthen its proximity to citizens and improve the transparency of its activities.
The launch of "La Main Courante" is part of a modernization effort by the National Police to improve its communication strategy. This biannual publication is intended to disseminate information on the institution's activities, results achieved, challenges encountered, and future prospects, thereby helping to strengthen trust between the police and the public.

À quand donc la création d'un Syndicat Autonome des Travailleurs de la Police ?
J'espère qu'il aura des pages spéciales pour les contributions de tout bord.
