Le général Mbaye Cissé exhorte les militaires invalides à l'unité et à une représentation unique
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMGA), General Mbaye Cissé, deplored the divisions that had hampered the solidarity campaign for disabled and wounded soldiers. He called for the dissolution of existing associations to create a single structure capable of speaking with one voice to the authorities. Emphasizing unity and credibility, he affirmed that the success of the disabled veterans' projects would strengthen the army, which he considers a single family—including in civilian life—and a potential source of job creation for young people.
“To move forward, we absolutely must put an end to petty squabbles and divisions. I urge you to dissolve all existing associations and create a single one. It is by speaking with one voice to the authorities that you will be able to achieve significant progress. As in larger countries, we need a single national president and local branches to present a consensus-based platform.”
The command remains committed to solidarity, because the army is one family, whether active duty or disabled. The credibility of your future achievements depends on your ability to overcome divisions. You must produce results that prove that military personnel, even in civilian life, are more successful than others. The army can become a powerful engine of job creation, capable of mentoring young people,” he recommended.
