Le sous-lieutenant Mamadou Ndour repose désormais aux côtés de sa mère au cimetière de Takhikao
Aged 31, Second Lieutenant of Water and Forests Mamadou Ndour, found lifeless in his room in Sédhiou, was buried in the Takhikao cemetery in Thiès, next to his mother's grave.
The emotional burial ceremony brought together parents, relatives, colleagues and friends who came to pay their last respects to a man unanimously praised for his professionalism, dedication and availability.
On behalf of the bereaved family and Souleymane Ndour, known as Jules, the deceased's father, Jean Lefebvre's Director General, Bara Tall, expressed his gratitude to all those who attended the funeral. He also thanked the many Water and Forestry officers who came to accompany their comrade to his final resting place.
Among the dignitaries present was the former Director of Water and Forestry, Baïdy Bâ. The various speakers all recalled the sense of duty and unwavering commitment of Mamadou Ndour, described as an exemplary and highly committed officer.
This tragedy has shocked the commune of Sédhiou. Second Lieutenant Ndour, stationed at the Regional Water and Forestry Inspectorate, had not been heard from for several hours, causing concern among his loved ones, particularly his family living in Thiès.
Alerted, his colleagues went to his home, where they unfortunately discovered his lifeless body.
