L’État chez l’étudiant Abdoulaye Ba : Il exprime sa compassion et promet toute la lumière
The Government of Senegal has dispatched a large delegation to the family of the deceased student Abdoulaye Ba, on the instructions of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister. This action aims to demonstrate the nation's solidarity and reaffirm the authorities' commitment to clarifying the circumstances of his death.
Led by several members of the Government and senior administrative officials, the delegation included the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Daouda Ngom, the Minister of Health and Social Action, Ibrahima Sy, and the Secretary of State and Government Spokesperson, Marie Rose Khady Fatou Faye. The Minister-Advisor to the President of the Republic, Amadou Tidiane Wone, the Delegate General for Religious Affairs, Djim Dramé, and representatives from the Ministry of Family and Solidarity were also among the state envoys.
Territorial and administrative authorities, including the prefect of the Parcelles Assainies district, the sub-prefect, the commissioner of Grand-Yoff and several local dignitaries, took part in this visit of condolences.
On behalf of the highest authorities of the country, the delegation conveyed the condolences of the Senegalese people to the bereaved family and expressed the compassion of the entire nation. Prayers were offered for the repose of the deceased's soul, in a moment of reflection and solidarity.
The Government has also reaffirmed its firm commitment to fully investigating the circumstances surrounding the student's death. Authorities assure that the necessary investigations will be conducted diligently, impartially, and transparently in order to establish the facts and determine responsibility.
