LONASE : clap de fin pour les jeux « But ! » et « Numéro Porte-bonheur »
The Senegalese National Lottery (LONASE) is beginning a restructuring of its commercial offerings. In an official statement, the management announced "the definitive discontinuation of the sale of the instant lottery products 'But!' and 'Numéro Porte-bonheur'." This measure took effect on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at midnight.
Winning ticket holders can rest assured: the cessation of sales does not mean the immediate cancellation of payments. In accordance with regulations, the company specifies that "the official and final withdrawal of the products (...) will take place thirty (30) days after the cessation of their sale." Therefore, bettors have until midnight on March 15, 2026, to claim their winnings.
To facilitate these transactions, LONASE has implemented a local system and a centralized service. During this transition period, "payment for winning tickets will be made at the usual locations."
However, to ensure the smooth processing of applications until the final deadline, "a single point of contact at the LONASE General Directorate will handle the payment of winning tickets." After March 15th, these two products will no longer have any legal value on the national market.
