Two days before Magal 2025, the Mourid Professionals organization has unveiled a set of strategic recommendations aimed at improving mobility and strengthening road safety during this major religious event.

A worrying diagnosis

After a thorough analysis, several major issues were identified: vehicle deterioration, risky driver behavior, degraded road infrastructure and inadequate use of technologies for traffic management.

The main challenges concern insufficient vehicle maintenance, dangerous behavior (speeding, use of mobile phones while driving), infrastructure deficiencies on the RN2, RN3 and Bambey-Diourbel roads, as well as insufficient traffic management mechanisms.

Recommendations at three levels

In the short term, Mourid Professionals recommends a comprehensive check of all vehicles before departure, increased driver awareness and a communication campaign against risky behavior.

In the medium term, the organization advocates for the widening and rehabilitation of key roads, the development of safe shoulders and the installation of modern signaling equipment.

In the long term, it proposes the implementation of an intelligent traffic management system, the establishment of a national road safety plan and the sustainable development of infrastructure.

Mourid Professionals emphasizes that the success of Magal 2025 requires an integrated approach combining prevention, infrastructure improvement and the deployment of technological tools, in collaboration with all stakeholders in the transport sector.
