Mbour : un gang d'agresseurs démantelé par la police
A group of criminals had finally disrupted the peace of the people of Mbour. Their modus operandi consisted of deliberately ramming vehicles with their motorcycles to immobilize them. Once the vehicle was stopped, one of them would circle around to steal any items inside. The gang also committed burglaries and robberies, among other offenses.
Informed of several thefts committed on private vehicles, perpetrated between the Mbour bus station and the Saly intersection, the Urban Security of the Mbour central police station set out to track down the criminals.
This operation led to the arrest of the gang leader and one of his accomplices on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Following the arrest of these two members, the police carried out a search at the gang leader's home, seizing: two welding machines, three electric hammer drills and two flat-screen televisions.
These two individuals are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy and group theft committed at night using a means of transport. They will then be brought before the Mbour public prosecutor's office.
