Mbour : un plombier arrêté avec 187 comprimés d’Ecstasy après une filature policière
Police officers from the central police station in Mbour arrested L. Niang, a 28-year-old plumber residing in Thiocé Ouest, on Wednesday around 6 p.m. He is suspected of being at the heart of an ecstasy trafficking network operating in his neighborhood, according to Seneweb sources.
The operation was launched following intelligence regarding the suspect's illicit activities; he was described as an active participant in the distribution of this synthetic drug. To confirm this information, investigators set up surveillance in the area known to be his area of operation.
Police officers then caught L. Niang in possession of ten ecstasy pills. His arrest immediately led to a search of his home. In his bedroom, detectives discovered 177 more pills carefully concealed in two medicine boxes, bringing the total to 187.
The suspect was taken into custody pending further legal proceedings. This arrest marks a new step in the fight against synthetic drug trafficking in the municipality of Mbour.
