Mort de Khadija Sow : le mari de la tiktokeuse contre-attaque
Khadija Sow, the famous TikToker who died under mysterious circumstances, was buried on Saturday in the Sicap-Mbao cemetery. Meanwhile, the investigation into her disappearance continues: her husband, Mr. Seck, now charged with murder after initially being accused of manslaughter, and her two parents, facing charges of failing to assist a person in danger, are expected to be brought before the prosecutor's office at the Pikine/Guédiawaye court on Monday. Ahead of their hearing with the chief prosecutor, the three suspects are launching a counter-attack through their lawyers.
L'Observateur, which broke the story, emphasizes that the lawyers are denouncing a "brutal" and "unjustified" reclassification of the facts, stressing that no physical evidence supports the claim of intentional violence and suggesting that the hematoma found on the TikToker's scalp could be the result of an accidental fall. "The defense is therefore urging investigators to reconsider the facts based solely on scientific data," reports the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
Also pleading for the parents of the main suspect, Ousmane M. and Marème F., the defense lawyers contest any "culpable omission", recalling that Khadija Sow was transported to the hospital after her illness followed by her collapse (account of her husband).
L'Observateur reports that the family of those involved expresses its "deep sadness" for the death of the TikToker, but denounces an "early condemnation" of her relatives, calling for restraint and respect for the presumption of innocence.
