"Niarel" de Amadou Ba : La riposte véhémente du Député de PASTEF
"A well-known individual from the opposition, named Bakhe Yaye, shared a video with this comment, that I would have taken a second wife and that is the project (Amadou Ba dadone takk jabaar..)". This is the clarification made by the deputy in the National Assembly and member of Pastef, Amadou Ba, who speaks of a cleverly orchestrated fake news.
However, he clarifies, "I was just attending the wedding of a friend and brother who is very far from the political arena." He continues: "Of course, the well-known accounts that spread it have no other goal than to provoke and propagate hostile and virulent reactions against me."
In his eyes, "The desire to harm is obvious. Senior opposition figures declared me the most dangerous person in Pastef, and since then, everything has been done to try to destabilize me." But, the parliamentarian protests, "I don't care about their maneuvers and threats." And, he laments, "this seems to be a trend that targets all of Pastef's political leaders."
Amadou Ba is offended by "blatant fake news and obvious defamation" and has actually contacted his lawyer who, he says, will file a cybercrime complaint against "the individual behind the Bakh Yaye account." He believes that "These untimely intrusions into people's private lives have become commonplace and must be fought boldly and vehemently to create the conditions for a peaceful life in society and a more responsible social use of social networks, which some wrongly believe are a lawless and irresponsible zone."
For the honorable member, "If this trend is not stopped, there will be no limit to the violation of privacy with irreversible damage to children, parents and siblings." He would like "it to be put to an end to safeguard social balance and life in society itself"; and, he says, "systematic judicial convictions in cases of defamation, insults and the dissemination of false news can put an end to the excesses on social networks."
