Nouvelle liste d'homosexuels : Les révélations chocs de Cheikh Oumar Diagne
The case of Pape Cheikh Diallo, Djiby Dramé, and others, accused of alleged homosexuality and intentional HIV/AIDS transmission, could expose a much larger network. This is the conviction of Cheikh Oumar Diagne. The former director of general services at the Presidency of the Republic cited several sectors riddled with the presence of homosexuals.
"There are hundreds of networks in this country," declared Cheikh Oumar Diagne. According to the politician, Senegalese people are likely to be stunned when the police uncover the far-reaching networks involved in this homosexuality case. "People are going to be surprised. We know prominent figures who are homosexual. Prominent journalists, leading intellectuals, university professors, politicians, respected people. This affair has reached unimaginable levels," said Cheikh Oumar Diagne.
Worse still, according to the Professor, some men affiliated with the religion are not spared. "There are relatives of religious leaders, of prominent religious figures, who are involved in this (homosexuality) affair. It's more than serious... As an example, I know a man who was a victim of sexual abuse by his 'oustaz,' a prominent religious figure in this country who leads prayers wherever he goes. Yet, this man abused him when he was only 6 or 7 years old. He grew up with this abuse to the point of believing that his life could never change. Today, it has become a vice for him," adds Cheikh Oumar Diagne.
As a reminder, according to Les Echos, the Keur Massar Gendarmerie Research Brigade received a supplementary list of 13 suspects whose arrest was formally ordered by Prosecutor Saliou Dicko. This list reportedly includes two influential figures from the entertainment industry, suggesting that the case is far from over.
