Parcelles-Assainies : Un lutteur cache 8 kg de "yamba" sous le lit de sa grand-mère
Officers from the Parcelles-Assainies district police station's investigation unit arrested an individual on Wednesday around 2 p.m. for possession and trafficking of marijuana. The suspect, NMS, 30, a vegetable vendor and wrestler residing in Parcelles-Assainies Unit 2, was found in possession of 8 kg and five packets of marijuana, according to Seneweb sources.
It was the exploitation of intelligence relating to drug trafficking in the Parcelles-Assainies sector that led investigators to Unit 2. During the raid carried out on the premises, the police surprised the accused in his room, where he had hidden five cones of Indian hemp.
The absent grandmother, the scheme exposed
Continuing their investigation, the detectives were drawn to a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the room across the hall. Upon entering, they discovered a bag containing 8 kg of the drug carefully concealed under a bed. The room belonged to the suspect's grandmother, who was not present that day.
When questioned, NMS admitted to the charges against him. He stated that he had deliberately hidden the drugs in his grandmother's room while she was away. He also indicated that he had purchased the merchandise from a dealer based in Nguéniène.
After being informed of his rights, the wrestler was taken into custody for possession and trafficking of marijuana. The public prosecutor has been notified and an investigation is underway.
