Piégé après des messages obscènes : comment un étudiant traquait des chauffeurs Yango
A 22-year-old political science student at UCAD, DF Bandian, was arrested following a complaint of sexual harassment and propositions of unnatural acts targeting drivers of the Yango app.
According to L'Observateur, the case came to light when a driver, A. Diouf, reported receiving obscene and pornographic WhatsApp messages from the student after a ride on May 16th. To obtain evidence and get to the bottom of things, the driver decided to cooperate, pushing the accused to explicitly propose a meeting to consummate the relationship. Armed with this incriminating evidence, he filed a complaint on May 21st, allowing the investigative unit to set a trap for the student and arrest him at the meeting place.
During his interrogation, the same source continued, Bandian fully admitted to the acts, explaining that it was his first attempt to discover unnatural behavior and citing an inability to control his impulses. He also stated that after having had girlfriends in the past, he had finally realized his "true nature."
The investigation and the analysis of his mobile phone have also confirmed the plaintiff's accusations, revealing that the young man repeatedly targeted Yango drivers while discreetly keeping their phone numbers, adds the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group.
