Pour se rendre au Magal de Touba : le prévenu vide la chambre de sa mère, les receleurs tombent avec lui
Taking advantage of his mother's absence, who had gone to celebrate the Magal of Touba, Serigne Mbacké W., a street vendor living in Mbour, forced open the door of his mother's bedroom to empty its contents: bed, fan, gas cylinder and television, reports L'Observateur.
Without any qualms, he sold off the whole thing in the neighborhood: the bed was sold for 5,000 CFA francs to Pape Moussa D., a Touba coffee seller; the fan was exchanged for 8,000 CFA francs and the gas cylinder was sold for 3,000 CFA francs to the hairdresser Rama D.; as for the television, it found a buyer for 20,000 CFA francs at Ndeye Odette N., specifies the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group.
Upon her return, the newspaper reports, the mother, initially believing it was a burglary, immediately filed a complaint. The investigation quickly revealed the perpetrator: her own son. Placed in police custody, he admitted the facts and revealed the identity of the receivers.
The latter were arrested at their home. They admitted to having purchased the items knowing full well that they were stolen.
During the hearing, L'Observateur reports, the prosecutor firmly denounced their attitude, accusing them of having encouraged the theft by profiting from dubious "businesses."
The verdict has been delivered: Serigne Mbacké W. was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended, while the three receivers each received three months' suspended sentences, the same source concluded.

Dans son éducation on lui a inculqué que le Marabout vaut plus que toute chose. On lui a dit que le Magal est le moment le plus important......si j'étais juge j'aurais sermonné ses parents en même temps que les receveurs. Les anciens avaient l'habitude de dire que djiguene loumou yesseu yesseu, meunaleu dioural .......
