Production de pain : Papa Tahirou Sarr dénonce la « prise de contrôle » du secteur par les acteurs étrangers
MP Papa Tahirou Sarr once again took to the floor in the National Assembly during the examination of the Ministry of Trade and Industry's budget to denounce what he considers a gradual takeover of the bread sector by foreign actors. He raised the alarm about a situation he deems "worrying" for the national economy and the quality of life of Senegalese people.
According to Papa Tahirou Sarr, foreign-owned bakeries are proliferating in Dakar, with an even more pronounced expansion in the regions. He considers this trend dangerous for the sector's stability: "Foreigners who controlled distribution now have the audacity to enter production. This is unacceptable," he declared. The member of parliament is calling on the government to provide more support to Senegalese bakers so they can control the entire chain, from production to distribution, in the face of what he describes as unfair competition. He also mentioned the need to strengthen hygiene inspections, believing that shortcomings persist in the monitoring of bakeries and bread quality.
Beyond the bakery sector, Papa Tahirou Sarr broadened his remarks to other sensitive commercial activities. He denounced the proliferation of informal water sachet production units, calling for increased vigilance to protect consumer health. He then pointed to the growing presence of young foreigners in markets, asserting that they are "gradually replacing Senegalese women in small trades," which, according to him, is harming the traditional social and economic balance. Finally, he railed against the sale of alcohol at certain service stations located along highways, which he described as "licensees to kill," and advocated for industrial development in Casamance to better support the region's women.

De quoi se plaint-on ? des bolangeries dégueulasses qui vous vendent de la "m*rd. ? on a voulu copié les autres pays en voulant manger du pain, on a ce qu'on mérite, des boulangers crasseux qui fabriquent des horreurs appelées pains.
Dans un autre temps, personne ne mangeait de pain, nos braves femmes pillaient le mil mais comme nous sommes d'éternels frustrés on veut absolument s'aligner sur les autres.
