Qui est Abdoulaye N., 39 ans, suspect-clé du "casse" du Louvre ?
A key suspect in the Louvre robbery, 39-year-old Abdoulaye N. has an unusual profile: known on social media as "Doudou Cross Bitume", he gained notoriety by combining physical performance and motocross culture.
On the TikTok platform (aka "DOUDOU CROSS BITUME AUBER 93") as well as on Instagram (doudoucross6), he presents himself as "THE LEGEND" of "CROSS BITUME 93 AUBERVILLIERS".
His Instagram account, which displays 18 posts for 201 followers, anchors his character in sports practice and a territory, Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis).
His posts paint a portrait of an urban athlete. "Street workout," a form of bodybuilding practiced in the city, is a recurring theme in his videos, as evidenced by several thumbnails on his profile. Still within the realm of sports, he also features himself snowboarding.
DNA
The other side of his public persona is "street racing". His publications show him at the controls of large-displacement motorcycles, notably a Yamaha 1300 FJR road bike and a Honda CRF motocross bike, but also a Tmax scooter.
This scooter model is the same one used by the suspects to flee after the Louvre robbery. On TikTok, he also posts videos showing him with children, whom he lets sit on his dirt bike.
This digital identity, built on the exhibition of performance, contrasts with the profile sought in the investigation into the Louvre "heist", a clandestine and meticulous operation.
Abdoulaye N. has been charged in particular with "organized gang robbery", a crime punishable by 15 years imprisonment, and "criminal association".
He is one of four suspects detained in this case. He and another 34-year-old man, both from Aubervilliers, were arrested on October 25. They are suspected of having been part of the four-man commando that entered the Apollon shopping center on October 19.
His DNA was reportedly found by investigators on one of the broken shop windows and on items left at the scene. The DNA of his alleged accomplice was found on one of the two Tmax scooters used in the getaway.
"Hot stuff, the robber"
An unlicensed taxi driver already known to the police for aggravated theft, he is supposed to be tried this Wednesday in Bobigny for damages dating back to 2019.
His profile, like that of his accomplice, a former delivery driver, does not correspond to those "that are generally associated with the top of the spectrum of organized crime," Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau stressed on Sunday.
Since he was implicated, "Doudou's" social media accounts have been the subject of numerous comments mocking the suspicions against him.
Users ask him "what did you do with the crown diamonds" or to "return the jewels", while others comment: "He's a hot robber" or "You must have sent some heavy stuff for the Louvre".
Abdoulaye N., presumed innocent, like his alleged accomplice, only made statements deemed "minimalist" by the prosecution during his indictment.
His posts on his accounts, particularly Instagram, have so far revealed an eclectic cultural universe, mixing references to American series ("The Sopranos"), popular culture (manga figurines like Dragon Ball Z and superheroes), but also to the world of childhood (Winnie the Pooh) and rap.
He posts images of Tupac Shakur, an iconic figure in 1990s American rap, whose style he adopts, sporting a bandana tied around his head in his Instagram profile picture. He also posts references to Tupac's record label, "Death Row".
The loot, eight Crown Jewels, estimated at 88 million euros, has still not been recovered.
