Ramadan : un guide religieux retourne à Diomaye Faye son «soukarou koor»
It is L'AS that gives the information in its edition this Monday. The newspaper reports that Cheikh Ibrahima Diallo, son of Cheikh Mouhidine Diallo, renowned marabout of Sagne Bambara, in the commune of Sibassor (11 km from Kaolack), who died in 2020, returned the "soukarou koor" that President Diomaye Faye sent him.
The gifts consisted of food and an envelope of money delivered by a member of the government, the newspaper reports. "The individual in question explained that he declined [the presidential gifts] based on a family principle, recalling that his father, until his death, did not accept aid from political figures," the newspaper reports.
“Sheikh Mouhidine Samba Diallo was a man of God who throughout his life refused any collusion with politicians and successive governments. For him, any rapprochement with politicians is an open door to corruption,” recalls another article consulted by Seneweb.
