Rebeuss : le détenu appelle le policier qui lui aurait « volé sa copine »
Charged since 2020 with conspiracy and armed robbery, O. Doucouré, detained in Rebeuss prison, appeared again before the Dakar court for flagrant offenses. According to Les Échos, which attended the hearing, he is now being prosecuted for public insults and death threats against police officer ML Khouma—the very same officer who arrested him five years earlier.
According to the newspaper, Doucouré repeatedly contacted the police officer from his cell to insult him and threaten his family. Shocked, the officer filed a complaint, triggering a new investigation. As reported by Les Échos, Khouma claims that Doucouré was once an informant with whom he collaborated, until Doucouré became involved in a robbery with violence.
But the detainee rejects this version and speaks of a "sentimental conspiracy." He accuses the police officer of having "stolen his girlfriend," a certain GS Kane, now the officer's wife. Doucouré admits to having insulted Khouma, but denies making any death threats, maintaining that he was only responding to his provocations.
Faced with conflicting accounts, the same source notes, the Dakar court of summary jurisdiction adjourned the case until November 17th to allow for the police officer's appearance. In the meantime, Doucouré remains in pretrial detention, five years after his initial arrest.
