Réseau criminel à Diamniadio : 7 Bissau-Guinéens arrêtés pour avoir arnaqué leurs compatriotes

The Diamniadio territorial brigade, led by Chief Warrant Officer Alassane Tounkara, conducted a decisive operation that resulted in the dismantling of a criminal network composed of Guinea-Bissau nationals operating in the Darou Salam neighborhood, according to Seneweb sources. Seven individuals linked to the QNET network were arrested and brought before the Rufisque High Court yesterday.

On November 21, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., three individuals of Bissau-Guinean nationality presented themselves at the brigade in a state of obvious disturbance. Their behavior immediately attracted the attention of the gendarmes.

Interviewed separately, the three men revealed that they had been victims of a large-scale scam perpetrated in Diamniadio. They claim to have been contacted by a group promising them professional opportunities abroad, including a football career for each of them, contingent upon passing supposed tests.

Convinced by the scammers' pitch, they paid significant sums: 900,000 FCFA, 200,000 FCFA, and 150,000 FCFA. A total of 1,250,000 FCFA which, according to them, represented the final hurdle before achieving their ambitions.

Thanks to the detailed information provided by the victims, the police quickly identified the location of the suspect group. An operation was immediately launched in Darou Salam.

On site, investigators discovered a house transformed into a base of operations by members of the QNET network. They found several individuals of various nationalities, mainly from Guinea-Bissau, crammed into a small apartment, without amenities, where men and women lived together in a chaotic environment.

Seven suspects arrested, two on the run

Following the operation, seven individuals, all of Bissau-Guinean nationality, were arrested. They are: Samuel Bisane, Ramirou Divanirou Viera, David TÈ, Ricardo Moussa Tiantialan, Isnaba Souniana, Victor Gomis and Jules Basande.

Two other members, identified as the most influential in the group, managed to escape and are actively being sought by the police.

The seven alleged perpetrators were brought before the Rufisque High Court on Tuesday. They are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, illegally practicing a regulated profession, opening a public establishment without authorization, fraud involving the public, extortion, and endangering the lives of others, according to Seneweb sources.

The investigation continues to find the members on the run and to determine the extent of the network's ramifications.
