Retour de Momo et de Bamba : Le ministère explique les circonstances (Affaire cheikh Touré)
The Ministry of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad (Miaaese) has confirmed the return home of Khadim Ndiaye, known as Bamba, and Mamadiang Kane, known as Momo. These two young players, who were detained in Ghana along with Cheikh Touré, have been returned to the country after a stay in the hands of malicious individuals.
In a press release seen by Seneweb, the ministry informs that they were released thanks to the sustained efforts undertaken by the Senegalese Embassy in Accra, with the diligent and benevolent assistance of the competent Ghanaian authorities.
"After their release, the two young compatriots were taken to the border between Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, before continuing their journey to Mali, where they presented themselves, safe and sound, to the Senegalese Embassy in Bamako on October 22, 2025. They received appropriate care there pending their repatriation," the ministry explained in its press release.
They arrived in Dakar this evening and were welcomed and assisted by a team from the Ministry and the National Police, for the usual formalities expected in such circumstances, the Ministry informed. Unfortunately, their comrade Cheikh Touré was not lucky enough to return home alive.
