Match des lions : Les conclusions de la rencontre entre la Sogip et la Fédération de Football
A few days ago, Dame Mbodj, the Director General of the Public Infrastructure Management Company (SOGIP SA), threatened not to make the Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade available for the Lions' next match. He stated that the Senegalese Football Federation owes them money and that a contract must be signed for their partnership to continue. This Saturday, the two parties met.
"As part of the preparation for the match between Senegal and Mauritania, counting for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and SOGIP SA met today to discuss the arrangements for organizing the said match and, more broadly, the conditions for making the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio available," announced the organization headed by Dame Mbodj.
In its press release, it states that the discussions were conducted in a spirit of constructive partnership. And they "allowed both parties to reaffirm their shared desire to consolidate lasting and transparent cooperation, based on respect for procedures, the preservation of the national sporting heritage, and the success of events hosted on the site," Sogip states.
The two organizations welcomed the fruitful nature of the discussions and reaffirmed their joint commitment to working for the promotion of Senegalese football and the development of public infrastructure.
