Saint-Louis : une élève en classe de 1re accouche puis abandonne son nouveau-né
There is a new development in the investigation opened by the central police station of Saint-Louis after the discovery of an abandoned newborn in the Ngallèle district.
According to Seneweb sources, the incident occurred around 8:00 AM when the discovery of the infant was reported to the police. Upon being informed, officers at the central police station immediately launched an investigation to identify the person responsible for the abandonment.
The police investigation quickly led them to the child's presumed mother.
The latter, identified by the initials CSC, aged 19, a student in the first year of high school, residing in the Ngallèle district, was arrested by investigators.
After her arrest, the suspect complained of feeling unwell. At the request of investigators, she was admitted to the Saint-Louis Regional Hospital for medical treatment. A police guard was put in place to ensure her safety.
The investigation is ongoing to clarify the exact circumstances of this case.
