Saly Carrefour : échec de l’attaque contre le «jakartaman», l’agresseur se retrouve aux urgences et finit à la morgue
A motorcycle taxi driver named Wilane was taken into custody at the Saly Portudal police station for assault and battery resulting in death. His victim, Mr. Diop, succumbed to his injuries at the Thierno Mansour Barro Hospital in Mbour.
The unusual aspect of this case is that the deceased was initially the aggressor against his executioner. "The investigation reveals that Mr. Wilane was allegedly attacked by three individuals armed with bladed weapons, among whom was Mr. Diop," reports Libération, which broke the story.
The newspaper recounts: "During this attack, Wilane reportedly injured his left wrist. He nevertheless managed to seize a knife from one of the assailants and stab Mr. Diop. Despite this injury, the deceased and his accomplices managed to escape, taking their victim's 'Jakarta' motorcycle and his two mobile phones."
The same source indicates that Wilane met Diop in the emergency room of Thierno Mansour Barro Hospital. However, Diop, who had lost a significant amount of blood before arriving at the hospital, succumbed to his injuries, while the "Jakartaman" was arrested by police, who had been alerted by medical staff.
Libération points out that the deceased is well known to the police for acts of aggression.

Non seulement les policiers ne défendent pas la population face à ces intenables agressions mais en plus ils arrêtent d’honnêtes citoyens qui ne font que se défendre, j’espère qu’il sera libre le plus rapidement possible
