Saraya : un homme meurt noyé dans les eaux de la Falémé à Kolia
A tragedy occurred yesterday, Saturday morning around 8 a.m., in the village of Kolia, a locality in the commune of Bembou, department of Saraya. A man in his forties, of foreign nationality, died by drowning in the waters of the Falémé River.
According to witnesses contacted by Seneweb, the victim was not in full possession of his mental faculties. Arriving at the riverbank, he allegedly attempted to cross it abruptly on foot, without seeking assistance from the canoeists present.
Caught by the current, the man was quickly swept away by the waves. Despite the immediate intervention of the alerted boatmen, his tracks were quickly lost in the depths of the Falémé.
As we go to press, the search for the body is still ongoing.
