On February 4, 2026, the urban security unit of the Kaolack central police station dismantled a prostitution ring. Three individuals were arrested for kidnapping, pimping, complicity, and failure to register with the health and social services database.

The complaint of a desperate mother that started it all

The case began with a complaint filed by a mother, alerting the authorities to the confinement of her daughter in a place known for prostitution. Her report immediately triggered a police intervention.

When questioned by investigators, the victim stated that she had been held captive and abused by an individual who was simultaneously arranging paid encounters with third parties. During his arrest, the main suspect was searched, which led to the discovery of a large sum of money of suspicious origin on him.
