Sicap-Mbao : une collégienne échappe à une tentative de viol
Fashion designer Y. Sylla (51 years old) was arrested by the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao police station following a complaint filed by N. Dieng for pedophilia, attempted rape, and sexual assault of his 12-year-old daughter, FKN.
The incident occurred on the morning of June 29, according to Libération in its Friday, July 3 edition. The same source details that the young woman was walking alone to Cheikhoul Khadim Hospital when the accused invited her into his workshop, located near the Diamaguène middle school. Once inside, the tailor pretended he wanted to take measurements for a client of the same size, before groping her breasts and attempting to remove her t-shirt. The victim managed to push her attacker away and escape to alert her father.
During his interrogation by investigators, the accused admitted to the sequence of events as described by the victim, with the exception of the sexual touching.
