Tambacounda : Le plus grand voleur de téléphones portables tombe avec son oncle
The Tambacounda gendarmerie's investigation unit has made a major raid yesterday, Wednesday, with the arrest of the eastern capital's biggest cell phone thief. He is the kingpin Diadji Touré, who lives in the Saré Guilel neighborhood.
Among his victims were Ndiogou Diamé and Mariama Ciré Souaré. Their valuable cell phones were stolen by the criminal during the night of August 21-22, 2025. As complaints piled up on Commander Diop's desk, the brigade chief activated his officers.
The perspicacity and tenacity of the police, aided by the requisitions of the telephone operators, made it possible to locate and arrest the thief Diadji and then his uncle Kébou, in possession of one of the stolen telephones that he bought at a low price.
Both are in police custody awaiting referral to the public prosecutor's office at the Tambacounda High Court.
